A historic waterfront community located on Mobile Bay, the city is just minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. Mobile is a major source of trade and production along the central Gulf Coast.
Residents enjoy year-round outdoor activities such as boating, sailing, fishing, hunting, golf and jogging–to name just a few. Attractions in the area include the Gulf Coast Exploreum with an IMAX theater, the Estuarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, the Battleship USS Alabama and Bellingrath Gardens and Home. Mobile is proud to be the original home of Mardi Gras and it’s home to the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo, the BayFest Music Festival, AA minor-league baseball, Robert Trent Jones Golf Trails and two college football bowl games, the Senior Bowl and the GMAC Bowl.
