During our busiest times, we focus on serving our customers, whether that is having your boat in the water, with a bag of ice for a cocktail cruise, your brand new Grady or Chris-Craft ready just in time for the weekend jaunt, or keeping your Yamaha motors ready to run when you are. However, in the cooler months, we evaluate our facilities and equipment to see where we can improve.
This season we’ve taken on a few projects. You may recall last winter we had the steel beams and bunks of the west side of our dry storage rack replaced. This winter we’ve focused on the east side.
We’ve constructed a new rigging shop office in the front corner of our main rigging facility at 6014 Wrightsville Avenue in Wilmington. The office has been positioned to allow rigging shop managers Mike Bland and Brad Phillips to keep watch over the gated entrance, the rigging facility, and the yard, all right from their desks.
Other down time projects around the dealership include fleet maintenance on our service trailer fleet and the implementation of a new dealership management software system. This system will integrate with all departments, including sales, finance, service, storage, dock office, and even our online eBay store.
